Happy New Year from Cape Town

We made it safely, although our plane was over 2 hours late leaving London due to ice on the wings. We checked in to our hostel and then took a 6 hour nap. Now we're ready to find our friends who are here already and find something to do for New Year's. It's a 9 hour time difference from Arizona. The weather was beautiful today, a blue sky and no clouds over Table Mountain when we got here. No rain in the forecast this week either. And it's 7:20 and the sun is just thinking about going down. I love summer!

First Flight

We made it to London on time today. The flight was mostly uneventful, although there were a few incidents of turbulance. The flight attendant would tell us when the seat belt light was on and reminded us that meant no going to the bathroom.
In less than 2 hours we'll be on our 11 hour flight to Cape Town. We've had a snack and we got to clean ourselves up a little bit. It's cold (34 degrees F) and raining outside, so Geo's only a little sad that he's not going to get a chance to run. He'll have plenty of time when we get to Cape Town and the weather should be nicer.
Skype is great, we tested it out here at the airport and it works well. Y'all should get it on your computer and we can talk for free as much as we want!
That's all for now...Africa, here we come!

Get Set, Go!

We are almost ready to go! It's 12:26 local time and our flight departs at 7:40 from Phoenix Sky Harbor. We're shipping a few boxes directly to Prague--hopefully they'll get there before we do. Geo's sister Andie is taking us to the airport around 3:30. I hope we have it all together by then!
We'll arrive in Cape Town on Saturday morning at 6 am local time after a short layover in London.
Stay tuned...
