Weekend in Toronto

We took the red eye from Phoenix to Toronto on Friday night. Got to spend all of Saturday in Toronto with Geo's brother Chris. Then he took us home to Guelph. We set out not so early the next day to see the Escarpment near Guelph in Elora. That was cool. Then we came home and got to meet Emily. She made us an amazing dinner that we shared with another housemate, Tara. On Monday we drove to Niagara Falls and got to spend a day with Chris and Emily doing very touristy things, but getting to let out our inner children! It was a great day. They were so kind to drive us to the border city of Fort Erie, where we called a cab and went to the Buffalo Airport to get us a car to drive the rest of the way through New York. Our border crossing was also one for the annals...they stopped us for "gamma" detection. Then they sent us in the immigration issue room, where we were prepared to sit for hours, even though we had no idea why. Luckily, they were confused and found us and pulled us out to a much shorter line and we were on our way within minutes. Very strange. And the poor taxi driver lady couldn't charge us for "waiting" time because it was the car that triggered the "gamma" detection. Oh well. She was sweet.

And can I mention that we ate at mostly veg friendly restaurants that I would highly recommend if anyone is visiting the greater Toronto Area? Yummy!

Best of Canada Weekend

G & K!

Great pictures and a good story of your visit. Having never been to "The Falls" I found the photos impressive and I felt the cold mist for you. Looks like a great trip and a cat to tell Lexi about. She misses you.

Peace
